One of the meat’s that my husband picked up from the meat market this week was country-style pork ribs. I wasn’t so sure what to do with them. We have been talking recently about our need for a smoker!! But without one I had some thinking to do!! While I was watching my local Twin Cities show called Twin Cities Live (kind like our version of Regis & Kelly) I got an idea. They have been featuring BBQ places all week and one guy had a rub with 26 different herbs!! Well mine only has 4, but we thought it was pretty awesome and yummy!! Try it on any meat you are grilling, just give it a little while to sink into the meat once you rub it on…then grill away!!
Dry Herb Rub

Time: about 30 seconds…lol
Ingredients:
- Dry Chili Powder (about 2 tbsp, I eyeball everything based on how much I need)
- Garlic Powder (about 1 tbsp)
- Salt (about 2 tsp)
- Cumin Powder (about 1 tbsp)
Mix all herbs in a small bowl well using fingers. Rub the mixture into whatever meat you are using for dinner. You can either grill your meat or smoke it!! This rub would be great on ribs, steaks, even chicken thighs and fish! Try it out and Enjoy!!
ps…I usually get all of my dry herbs from Penzey’s Spices! They are sooooo yummy!
